Embedded games? 6 Months ago
In the PNP program you could embed online games on your site or blog, so a site visitor did not have to leave your site to play a game. Can this still be done?

It's not called PNP now. The Big Fish Games Affiliate Program took the place of that. If you mean the SGS (Satelite Game System) then the answer is yes, online games are built into hidden iFrames on your site. The only time they leave your site is in secondary (popup) windows for downloading and/ or purchasing games. The SGS is perfect to start your own game site if you're not too familiar with xml datafeeds yet. I'm running SGS on 4 Domains now and starting to integrate the Gamestorebuilder Addon to some or all of them.

With PNP the iframe urls were included in the rss feed

for example the feed for Spanish online games was

rss.bigfishgames.com/rss.php?username=yourusername&type=4&gametype=og&local=es

However the new rss feed

rss.bigfishgames.com/rss.php?username=yourusername&type=6&locale=es&gametype=og

does not include the iframe and other goodies! It was nice to just go grab the code and add it to your blog, site ect. Customers play without leaving your site unless they want to download the full games. I'm not sure if the old iframes urls are still valid or not. I am also not sure how to create new ones. Perhaps another thread here shares that info.

Like the previous poster, I know this thread is really really old. For anyone looking for embedding, though, I found it while coding a WordPress plugin for the BigFishGames affiliate program. Here's the URL you need (replacing values as necessary).
Code:

http://bigfishgames.com/online-games/online.html?gid=[online-game-id]&channel=affiliates&identifier=[your-affiliate-id]&bgcolor=[hex-without-#]

You can drop that in an iFrame based on the height and width of the game. As long as it has an online play option, it will work just fine.

In response to member ID "NotRelated"...
I found your plugin site and it's looking great. could be exactly what I've been looking for the past few months. I plan to buy it for my wordpress site but is it ready for purchase? I do have a pre-sales question or two for you though. First, will I be able to configure the template to match my other game posts for pc and mac games? And on installation, will I be able to import all the games into their original posted date by Big Fish Games? I noticed on your sample site they seemed to all be dated for the 29th, when you installed them I'm guessing.

@tweetsanta...
The plugin uses custom fields, so you can display the games in any WordPress template that's wide enough to accommodate the iFrame. It uses the date of posting (by you), not the date of publishing, but that's a really good idea... (ETA: I did an upgrade on that this morning)

Re:Embedded games? 1 Week ago
Can you add tracking to the plugin? Since BFG has added ability to track using cid= tag we can append a tracking code into the links now.

Also A bulk Add Games and Delete all Games in case of mistakes would be nice.

I may also need help, please read further.
I have purchased the plugin but still trying to get it to import all the games so I'm not sure how it's going to work just yet. However I do know this much, without removing the left navigation column for the play page, there will not be enough room for the game frame without breaking the page's layout. Is or will there be a way to make the play games page be on a template page that I can remove the left navigation column? I need a little help with doing this unless you can integrate that job into the plugin also.

Thanks!
PS:
I hope this turn out to do what I need it too, if it does, I'd also like to become an affiliate if you want affiliates. Since it's new I should do ok by setting up a "made possible by" affiliate link at the bottom of each game. Heck, I'd even do that just to get the upgrades free for life without the required $1 per month. $1 isn't much but it could be if I ever forgot about it and my account overdrafted.

I'll get the tracking code added tonight. It may have been on my list of things to do at some point.

On the navigation issue, I'd need to see the site to figure out the easiest way to do it. Feel free to send me a message (here or using the WPPlugins contact form) with your info and I'll take a look. Ditto on your link suggestion...
